FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Hopefully you will be able to find the answers to any questions you may have here, but if not please do get in touch, I am always happy chat.


DOES MY PAINTING NEED FRAMING?

All paintings on canvas are shipped varnished and ready to hang and do not need to be framed to be enjoyed. If it is an affordable option for you then I think that paintings up 60cm benefit from being framed but this is a nice finishing touch, not a necessity! Canvases 80cm and larger look great with or without frames.

Some paintings may be available already framed, this will be specified in their description and reflected in the price.

Artwork on paper will need to be framed behind glass before you can hang it. If you are in my local delivery area or can collect, then I am happy to chat through framing options and arrange this for you. I don’t ship artwork framed behind glass as it can be too easily damaged in transit.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT COLOUR FRAME WILL SUIT MY ARTWORK THE BEST?

If you are not sure, then I am happy to advise. Most paintings look great with a white painted wood frame. Some suit a plain wood frame better. When you add a frame to your shopping basket there is the option to choose white, wood or ‘unsure’. If you tick the unsure box then I will be in touch after purchase to chat through options.

IF A PAINTING IS BEING SOLD READY FRAMED, CAN I CHANGE THE COLOUR FRAME?

No. If a painting is sold framed then I am unable to reframe it for you.

HOW LONG DOES FRAMING TAKE?

I am currently exploring some in house framing options, to speed up framing times but want to make sure I am happy with the quality before committing to it. Currently I use a local framer who is excellent, but not always the fastest! Framing can take anywhere from between one and four weeks, although around two weeks is standard. This is before shipping.

HOW LONG AFTER ORDERING WILL I RECEIVED MY PAINTING?

If you are in my local delivery area or able to collect, I will contact you after purchase to arrange a suitable time for us to meet up. It’s really exciting buying art and I want to you to be able to enjoy your new painting as soon as possible, hopefully within the week (unless you would like it framing, in which case it will take longer).

It will normally take between 3 and 5 working days to process and ship your order. Your order will be shipped via Royal Mail or a courier service such as DHL or DPD. I send paintings tracked and signed for, where available. Please allow a further 3 to 5 days for delivery following despatch confirmation. International shipping may take longer.

WHAT ARE THE DELIVERY COSTS?

Delivery costs are shown at checkout and are calculated based on the size of the painting. I offer free collection and free local delivery.

CAN I COLLECT ITEMS?

Yes. If you would like to collect your items, you can do so for free by selecting collection at checkout. I will contact you after purchase to arrange a suitable time for you to collect.

CAN ITEMS BE SHIPPED INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes, however shipping costs will vary depending on your location. Please contact me prior to purchase and I can advise further. I am happy to reserve a painting for you while we figure out shipping. Please note that you will be responsible for paying all duties, taxes and other fees levied outside of the UK.

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN MY ITEM IS SHIPPED?

You will receive an e-mail informing you that the order has shipped. If you have any concerns regarding shipping, feel free to contact me.

CAN I PAY IN INSTALMENTS?

Yes. At checkout there is the option to pay via monthly instalments using Klarna.

CAN ITEMS BE RETURNED?

Any paintings that are received damaged, can be returned for a full refund including all shipping costs. Please see Terms and Conditions for more information.

I do my very best to represent my paintings as accurately as possible, and I really hope you are delighted with your painting. However, photos are not the same as seeing a painting in the flesh. Sometimes colours may look a little different to the photo and the texture of paint can be hard to see in photos. If on receiving the painting you decide you don’t like it, or it is not suitable, then you are able to return it. As per the Consumer Rights Act you have 14 days to notify of your with to return your painting. Please see terms and conditions for full details of your rights and on how to make a return.

DO YOU SELL PRINTS OF YOUR ART?

Not currently, no, although I may in the future. If you would like to be notified of this, please sign up for my (very infrequent!) newsletter. Sign up is available on the ‘contact me’ page.

DO YOU TAKE COMMISSIONS?
